Surround Decoder/Pre - Opinions?

I'd like to upgrade my surround decoder, audio pre and DAC into one complete piece. What is the best piece for about $1500 USD? It should include, DD, DPL, DTS upgradeable.

I listen to music more often than watching movies. But DD decoding is important to me as is good sound and build quality.

My current equipment includes Marantz DP-870, Bryston .4 pre and MF X-DAC.

Considering either a surround decoder to perform all three functions or a DAC/Pre and keep the Marantz.

What do you think?
