Amplifier under 700???

If I had a use for a second one, I would have bought it! The 5 channels will work very well for stereo in multiple locations - also the PA5800 is rated for 4 ohm use (but can not be bridged). As for the 5th channel - if you combine the output into mono, you might have mono all the way around due to the adaptor. If you can find a simple mixer (Radio Shack likely has one) that has stereo inputs and an option for mono output (or use a Y connector there) you can use the 5th channel. The key is to "buffer" the stereo signal so that you don't merge them together. Tricky - yes, but it will work. I have been using the PA5800 power amp and could honestly do away with my current "summer amp" and live with the H/K. (I own 2 amps that are both room heaters). Alan
