Yamaha RX-V990 and DTS

I think I know the answer to this question, but...

I have a Yamaha RX-V990 receiver and a Panasonic A300 DVD player. Great combination for DD 5.1!

I know there are DD/DTS processors available, but can I take advantage of DTS with my receiver and DVD player?

I think the answer is no. I am just a little concerned I will be losing out on DTS. The receiver and DVD player are only two years old and I don't want to upgrade each one just to get DTS.
