If you look closely at the specs of comperable RV models and RXV models, you'll find differences.
I can't recall the specific differences (it's been a while since I considered buying the mass market RV series). The differences were usually in the THD but in a few cases there were feature differences. Claimed wattage isn't always equal, and the inputs can differ too.
In the end, I came away with the opinion that the RV series was much less than re-labeled RXV products. They are inferior -slightly, but still inferior.
