I got my 50ES Nov. 5th and it does not run as hot as my Pioneer vsx-d1s that it replaced. I have the speakers set to large and no problems. I was on vacation last week and ran it 6-10 hours each day and heat build up was not enough to worry about. My remote is even bright.
