: Thanks very much for the response.

No problem

: I still have one question though. This dvd decoder card says the following for connectors:

- Dolby™ Digital 5.1 channel output via S/P-DIF connector
- Dolby Surround, 2-channel stereo analog audio output

I would much rather have the 5.1 channels and not the Dolby Surround, 2-channel. So are you saying if i have a Dolby Digital reciever i can get it to decode 5.1 channels using the coax -RCA- jack???

Exactly that. The digital coax output carries the Dolby Digital bitstream from the card. That bitstream can contain anything from 5.1 channels to 1.0 (digital mono) depending on the source material on the DVD. So using that connection to your DD receiver will allow the receiver to decode the DD bitstream. The analogue outputs from the card output downmixed Dolby Prologic which you don't want to use if you have a DD receiver.

Hope that clarifies for you!! Enjoy!!
