Is it always the same place(s) on the Disc(s) and only a very brief cutout? If so, it could be the layer change which causes grief on lots of players, including my own. As far as I know, this will be fixed on newer players, so I think the only solution is to buy a new player. I'm waiting for true dual-layer dual sided progressive scanning though.
