HELP WITH YAMAHA HISTORY

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT):

I am in the market for a used Yamaha amp....Pro Logic is o.k., but I probably should try to find a unit that is DD "ready". I can't seem to make much sense out of the Yamaha DSP-A???? units. Could anyone help me to understand the vintage / differences in the units? I have looked @ the Yamaha Timeline on their web page with out much success. I hear about the DSP-A970, DSP-A1000, DSP-A2070, DSP-A2090, etc. I am thinking that one of these type units is what I am looking for, but I need to know what does what!!! Thanks in advance for any help with my question. gary
