HK CD-223M 200 CD jukebox

Using Mozilla/4.05 [en] (Win95; I):

Does anyone know a way (easy or otherwise) to equip this CD changer with a remote? This is the kind that relies on a HK receiver as the IR receiver and uses a link (SL16/XS8) to control the changer. I don't have (or want) an HK receiver so I'm looking for another device to act as the IR receiver. I suspect that this changer may be equipped with all the electronics but not the IR detector (and remote obviously) because HK has another model similar to this one WITH a remote. (Should have bought that one.) Plan B is to buy yet another HK changer (this one with the remote capability) and daisy chain the two changers. Don't want to do that though until I run out of CD capacity. Any Ideas?
