I have a feeling that the SysOps will tell you to get the Lex. They may be a bit biased. :) I can't say that I blame them, though, after living with a DC-1/THX for 3 years.

To be honest, though, of the three you mentioned, I think the Lex is pretty easily the best. Lex has Logic 7. The only other processor that I have found that has something that can compare is the Theta Casa Nova (well, Casablanca has Circle Surround also, but it's a lot more expensive).

Still, Meridian and Proceed gear has always sounded very good to my ears. Meridian is almost as good for software upgrades as Lex and Theta from what I have heard, I don't know about Proceed in that regard. One of the dealers I spoke to detests Proceed for their upgrade policies, but he may be biased, so I would not take that as gospel or anything. From what I understand, the AVP is supposed to be software upgradable.
