Meridian 561 vs lexicon MC1 vs Proceed AVP(svid)

Short of that I just don't see how they can pull it off with the Casnova. Adding a single input (even that would likely cost you 1 or more composite or S-Video inputs) just wouldn't make any sense. What they (and Proceed for the AVP) COULD do is replace the existing video card with 1 of each type of input and output. They could then sell an external box with multiples of the various types of inputs. This would allow them to route the on screen displays through as needed. Control could be through the serial port (or on the Proceed, through the PHAST or serial port). I fully agree with you on the PR (and other) benefits of helping customers directly. All other things being equal, guess which sort of company I would buy from next time... :) It's also much easier to recommend a company to someone else when you've been treated well. Ultimately, I think it's more expensive not to talk to customers. As to the dealer not liking Lexicon, Proceed, etc., I realize you're not the one I need to convince. When he realizes that he lost a sale due to his bull headedness, that may help change his tune :). Whether he likes Lexicon or not, he should realize that he could get fair market value for your used unit if he took it in trade. Plus, he would have had a Theta customer... Go figure. I can at least understand why the dealer wouldn't like Adcom, NAD, and Rotel - they aren't in the same league as the other lines we're discussing in this thread. Of course, he likely doesn't sell any of these brands that he doesn't like. Perhaps that's part of the reason he doesn't like the stuff - there's no money in it for him.
