Equalizer Usage

Using Mozilla/4.05 [en] (WinNT; I):

I think the only way to do that with a receiver is to choose a model that has "pre out - main in couplings" (as you said yourself). If you can step up to the Yamaha RX-V2095, that model has it. (See the link below.) But even then, you can only use the equalizer for the front-left and front-right channels. It looks like the Yamaha DSP-A1 allows it for the center channel too (but still not the surrounds).
