Yes that is what I'm saying. The RX-v795 only has S-video for the monitor out and vcr. Both of which I'm using. From the SD3109 I ran coax for the DD audio and used the composite jacks for the video and ended up with sound and no video.

I have both composite and S-video coming from the T.V. . To get the SD3109 to work, I just moved the S-video from the monitor out to the SD3109 and switch the input thru the TV.

Or just switch the cable back and forth.

What I do notice is a small difference is picture quality when using the composite jacks and not watching the SD3109 (when I don't switch the cable).

On a side note. There really isn't any receiver out there that does switching between S-video and Composite (if ne1 knows of one please correct me).You have to either go all one way or the other.

It'll cost me about $375.00 to trade up to the RX-V995 (which has S-video on every input) and about $500.00 to take the Zenith 27" I just brought back and get a TV with 2 S-video's. Thats where I'm at.
