It's a great sounding piece. I have heard it with small B&W 302's several times. However it's been plagued with glitches, and inventory has been spotty. I loved the sound and was willing to give it a chance, but couldn't get delivery (Rotel kept promising delivery, then finally admitted they didn't know when they would). The dealer finally gave me his demo, which I took home and promptly shorted out, which seems to be a common problem with these early production runs. If you are patient and willing to go through a couple of these to get one that works, it is probably the best thing out there in it's price range. By the way, I would also try out the Nakamichi AV10. It also has gotten great reviews. Both of these units have DTS and recognize/switch for the DD/DTS incoming signal (Yam 995 does not). I have chosen to get a Sherwood Newcastle 945 in the interim (also very highly rated, got a GREAT price) and wait for Rotel to work out the kinks. Good luck...
