Which is best for HT Marantz SR-18, Denon AVR-5700

Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (Win98; I):

I would like to purchase the BEST HT Receiver/Processor/Amplifier. I am also very interested in just CD/DSS sound. The price is not important, but quality is. I have heard lots about the 5700 but not much of the SR-18. The SR-18 supposedly has a very strong power supply, and amplifier section, however not too sure if it is better than the Denon Amplifier. If anyone has experience with these two monsters, would be most appreciated.
