Muted Pro Logic on RX-V995

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95):
Can anyone offer an explanation?
I have a Yamaha RX-V995 which is running beautifully in every regard... I have noticed, however, that when the Processing mode is Pro Logic, the Volume of the sound output is significantly lower than in, say, Dolby Digital or with Effect Off. Simply turning it up fixes the problem, the signal doesn't seem to be muffled or distorted - just quieter... Anyone else noticed this? Or is it just my unit...Cheers,
