If your Toshiba is susceptible to "Macrovisioning", then there's nothing I can suggest, that I know of, to "desensitize" it.

If you can "safely" record a DVD, all you need to do is feed the ANALOG STEREO CHANNELS into your VCR's stereo LINE IN jacks. If you connect the cables as I detailed, and you set the receiver to "channel" the DVD to the VCR (NOTE: set the VCR to use the LINE INPUT , you'll have NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT! :)
