EXCUSE ME? I was under the impression that VIDEO SIGNALS use cable with a characteristic impedance of SEVENTY-FIVE (75) OHMS, not 50 ohms!

If I'm correct, then SERIOUS SIGNAL DEGRADATION will occur with your suggestion of using 50 ohm coax.
