1) What MAKE AND MODEL is your DD receiver?
2) If you boost your rear amps to 80W, you're only asking for a 3dB increase (3dB=2x, -3dB=1/2x).

If you didn't purchase your existing receiver too long ago (i.e. less than 30 days), I suggest TAKING IT BACK to where you got it and get your $$$ back! then, go to an Audioe Shoppe that sells DD receivers that TRULY HAVE equal power to all 5 channels. I suggest the Denon AVR-2700 (80WPC all channels) since I have a Denon DD receiver myself. ;)
