DSP-A1 or RX-v2095 or Sony DA50es ?

The 50 can be had for $650-730 (depending upon dealer) - and I believe that it's replacement, the 555 will come in around the same, with some added improvements. Yeah, the Yammies are a bit nicer sounding, but I bought my 50ES with the suspicion that the current 5.1 channel standards (Dolby Digital and DTS) will undergo some improvements (such as Dolby 6.1, as used in Star Wars Epsiode 1). The Sony 50 is a great bridge reciever - not too expensive so you don't care when 6.1, or 9.1, comes out in two years. I am VERY wary of non-software upgradeable high-end recievers and processors right now. (Anyone checked the resale of high-end Dolby Pro Logic equipment recently?) I figure I'll just move the 50ES into a second system in a couple of years, and THEN buy Dolby X.1-capable seperates or a very high-end reciever. In the meantime, I'll put the $300-1000 difference into better speakers (I can always add more surrounds), or even better cables. Just my $.02 ...
