Where should I locate the monoblock amps?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98):

Mt rear speakers are located about 20 feet from the preamp. Is it better to locate my monoblock amplifiers at the preamp end or the speaker end of the runs?
