Bass Questions

Did you tell the receiver you HAVE A POWERED SUB? you have to do this under the SETUP options - select "YES" for subwoofer. Finally, make sure you're using the RCA FEED to the sub rather than the speaker feeds - this should ensure the internal crossovers and "bass management" circuitry routs "the right stuff" to the powered sub. Finally, "bass" refers to those frequencies BELOW 200-400 Hz, since that's the typical upper limit of many PASSIVE subwoofer crossovers. The stuff we commonly call "bass" (i.e. the "thump-thump", etc.) is actually those frequencies 100Hz and below and the stuff we "feel" is between 15-40Hz. At least, that's how ** I ** understand the issue. I certainly hope Gurus Robinson, etal chime-in to clear-up the issue. :) Ken
