Difference between DVD Audio DACs

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT; vho1200):

Hi everyone

I was wondering what is the difference in DVD player between a 24-bit/96kHz DAC and a 20-bit/96kHz DAC? The other has less bits but is it just technical or does is also affect DVD players performance in real life?
