Try www.magnoliahifi.com (based in Seattle Wash.). RIGHT NOW they're clearing-out their stock of Denon AVR-3200 Dolby Digital receivers for UNDER 400 DOLLARS APIECE!

At this price, you can (if they still have any) get for your $1000:

* Quality Dolby Digital Receiver ($400)
* Set of 5 speakers (Home Theater package: $400?)
* MAYBE a DVD deck (depending on model)

If you're lucky, you might even have enough for some decent #16 speaker wire and Radio Shack "Gold Series" interconnects to hook everything up. :)
