Help with $3000.00? Need good receiver and advise

Using Mozilla/4.51 [en] (Win98; I):

I have approx. $3000 to spend on as receiver. I currently have Def Techs BP2000. I need a good receiver or seperates (amp, preamp, etc.) to run these speakers. Can anybody steer me in the right direction.

So far I have only auditioned Denon 5700 and 3600. I like both of them. I am not sure if 5700 is worth the extra money. Also I do not want to buy the first receivers I check.

Please help me!!!!!!!!
