Loudspeaker Hiss with Yamaha DSP-A2

Sounds like the POWER SUPPLY might be at fault - letting "ground noise" into the system.

Try REVERSING the AC plug, if you can, and see if that helps "de-snake" your system.

Try RELOCATING (moving) the unit and see if that helps. Sometimes "local wiring" can induce "ophidians" to make themselves known.

Try SEPARATING all interconnects from AC cords.

Try using a POWER STRIP with surge protection and EMI/RFI filtering.

If all the fails to de-hiss your receiver, take it to an Authorised Yamaha Repaire Centre with a DETAILED list of the problem, when it occurs, and what you've done to eradicate the problem.
