That's a good explanation. :)

If what you type is true, then the only "differences" are probably:

* The radio: different freq. bands/channel separations than the US.
* A/V interconnect: probably has a SCART connector (or three?).
* AC power: 220 VAC, 50 Hz (120 VAC, 60 Hz for US stuff).
* French, rather than English, front panel displays and legends.

That's all I can think of... :)
