Denon AVR-2800 vs AVR-3300 vs. H/K AVR 65

Neither the AVR3300 or AVR5700 have 7.1 channel processing. What they DO have is a 7.1 channel external input, and a 7.1 channel preamp output. Thus, what you're essentially getting is a DD/DTS receiver that, should you ever have a external 7.1 decoder, will serve as a master volume control for the preamp outputs. As I understand it, you still have the five speaker outputs, but to get 7.1 channel sound, you'll need to add an external stereo amplifier. This is not true of the two top Yamahas, which have seven amplifiers built in, although they do not provide 7.1 input. Hope this helps! Aaron
