Looking for opinions on Krell and Sunfire.

The important question is why are you buying an amp? Does the name Krell cause goosebumps on your arms? Is the name a status symbol that is important? If the sound quality you are looking for can be had in the Sunfire Cinema Grand, and it sounds like it can, then by all means save the money and buy the Sunfire. If pure sonic reproduction is important, buy the Krell. For my money, this is the best amp out there.

If money is the issue then check out Rotel. An RB993 will give 3x200 with an RB991 giving 2x200 for about half of the Krell price tag. I have both a Krell KAV500 and a Rotel RB993. They are both great amps. The Krell is still the best though.
