The 85 is still out there as a current product - no indication I saw of its' being withdrawn, but then again, they don't tend to announce such things for fear of dealers getting stuck with what the public may then perceive as obsolete inventory. Careful with the HKs - I was entertaining the 65 briefly, until well-known quality problems (apparently since fixed) and the lack of a phono input scuttled it for me. I haven't bought an HT receiver yet. I assume your VSX references are to Pioneer Elite receivers? If so, FWIW, you won't find many Pioneer enthusiasts on this forum. In my observation after following this forum for a year or so, to make a car analogy, asking about Pioneer here is like asking about Chevy on a BMW forum. They may make fine products by most definitions, but they occupy a different strata in the marketplace. My point is not to be surprised if you don't get much of a response. This forum is for the most part the home of boutiquey, specialty store brands, not Best Buy/Circuit City brands.
