Help with DVD Player, Effect Speaker Selection

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt):

I am Upgrading my Home Theater Components. I currently have Klipsch Speakers (4.2 Main, KG 1.5 Rear, KV3 Center, and SW-12 Sub). I am going to buy the Yamaha RX-V2095 A/V receiver, and add Front effect speakers at a later time. My questions are: what is a good DVD player to look at for value/price/performance to go along with the Yamaha receiver, and what would be a recommendation for the front effect speakers? I do not want these speakers to be too large and overbearing given my room requirements.
