I recently bought the Elite 24TX and I assure you this is not a Chevy trying to compete with a BMW. The 24TX is identical to the 26TX except for power output and THX ratings. I compared the Elite with the Denon 3300 and the Yamy 995 and the clear winner for me was the Elite. In terms of musicality the Elite was smoother and more refined than the others. On movies there were no big differences. The remote is a big step ahead of the others which is important to me. Also the THX function works wonders on bright soundtracks. Don't be and "Elitist" and rule out the Pioneer just because it is Pioneer. The Elite line is not carried at your local Best Buy but will be found in better HI-FI shops. Go listen to the 26TX and you be the judge.
