Richard: I do not know enough about the 09 to compare the two. I do know a little about the 26TX. The 26 has 24/96 D/A converters on all 5 channels. These converters seem to provide excellent detail and extremely quiet operation. The 26 can play full range fronts with a sub that I don't believe the 09 can. The 26 has a backlit learning remote that is very easy to use. How is the 09's remote? Is there a big price difference? These are the things that are important to me when shopping for equipment. I am confident you will not be disappointed in the 26TX.
