Connection Help

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT):

Ok..I have finally purchased my receiver and television. I am trying to figure out the best way to connect everything. I want to place my rack about 20 feet from the television. The following is a list of my equipment:

Sony 53XBR300 TV
Denon 3300 Receiver
Proscan DVD
Sony VCR

Should I connect the DVD player to the receiver or directly to my TV? Should I use component video to connect the receiver to the television? Could I use component video from the DVD to receiver and S-Video from the receiver to TV?

I would greatly appreciate all help. Thanks!!
