The Take 5's are easy to drive speakers and pretty much any receiver should work fine with them. If you have the budget you might as well get as good a receiver as you can afford, "overkill" or not - then when the mood takes you in a few years time you can upgrade the speakers....you have realised by now that one is never done putting together an HT system, haven't you?!!
