DSP A-1 with dipole or bipole surrounds??

Posted by Loren Miller [IP: 204.255.239.172] on February 24, 1999 at 01:57:42
Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (Win95; I):

I read a review of the DSP A-1 in audio magazine,(the review is posted at Yamaha's website) and the reviewer stated that Yamaha recomends direct radiating speakers for the surrounds channels, as opposed to dipole or bipole surrounds.
I am thinking about purchasing the DSP A-1, but I am not about to get rid of my B&W DS6's!! Anyone with DSP A-1 experience please give me some advice, (like go with the Denon 5700) regarding what to do about my surrounds.

Thanks

L Miller
