Need help finding a DSP component?

Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (Win98; I):

I have high-end Carver amps/preAmp/tuners that are THX, et all. They do not have the capability to decode AC-3.

I'm certain I'm looking for a Digital Signal Processor but I'm having a great deal of difficulty finding one.

Is this my only option, other than the more expensive route of replacing preAmp and tuner, which have served me well for 2-4 years?
