Video switching question for Yamaha owners

i've had the same problem with my 2090... if you connect the vcr to the receiver with an rca, the 995 will not convert the rca into S-video. rca will only come out as rca, and s-video will only come out as s-video.

what i recommend is to get an rca to s-video adapter... they are out there (for example, a company called "tributaries" makes one")(they say that converting an rca to s-video improves the picture quality as well, but that doesn't make much sense to me. increasing the bandwidth from a flawed signal isn't changing the signal any...) this way, your system can be completely 100% s-video. (satelite, dvd, vcr)
