Video switching question for Yamaha owners
Posted by Greg Snyder [IP: 208.25.244.184] on February 27, 1999 at 22:37:28 In Reply to: Video switching question for Yamaha owners posted by George W. Marutz II on February 27, 1999 at 15:10:55: i've had the same problem with my 2090... if you connect the vcr to the receiver with an rca, the 995 will not convert the rca into S-video. rca will only come out as rca, and s-video will only come out as s-video. what i recommend is to get an rca to s-video adapter... they are out there (for example, a company called "tributaries" makes one")(they say that converting an rca to s-video improves the picture quality as well, but that doesn't make much sense to me. increasing the bandwidth from a flawed signal isn't changing the signal any...) this way, your system can be completely 100% s-video. (satelite, dvd, vcr) good luck, greg
