Help! Cheap pream/processor

I've never compared the two. As for powering the NHT 2.5i, it should with no problem. The HK has a high current design, and ample power for the NHT speakers. The question you need to ask is how loud you like to play your music or theater, and the size of the room. Also keep in mind that the one negative on the HK amp is that it can not be bridged.

My system for the HK is:
HK PA 5800
Chiro C-800 pre/pro
Denon AVD 2000 Dolby Digital decoder
Toshiba 2108 DVD
PSB Century 600i front speakers
PSB Century 200i center speaker
PSB Century 300i rear speakers

This provides more than enough sound for my 15 X 20 home theater. If I want more power for music, I can buy a 2-channel amp and bi amp the front speakers, but so far I have not found that I need that.
