I had the same problem trying to get my VCR, Playstation, N64 and DVD all hooked up to the V995. I wasn't able to get any picture from anything that was coming into the Yamaha via RCA. Ony when I ran an RCA from the monitor output from the Yamaha into the TV did I get a picture. I also tried running RCA and S-video simultaneously. The TV would default to the S-video signal. My only solution (since I didn't want to run my DVD RCA) was to get S-video cables for the game consoles. I will wait to get a S-VHS with S-video outputs rather than spend money on an adapter.
