: : : On the Rolling Stones Bridges to Babylon DVD, the sound cuts in and out when I am using the 5.1 decoder.

: : I experience the same problem with this disc on a Panasonic A110. I have tried more than one copy of the disc, and have tried both coax and optical cables. Still has drop outs. I am trying to determine if it is the disc or the player, and would appreciate hearing any additional comments.

:
: I found the/my problem:
: Turn off the V.S.S. (virtual surround sound thing) on the DVD player. Since getting the A110 I have never used the V.S.S. and forgot it existed. It must have gotten turned on when hitting buttons in the dark and there's no on-screen warning that you turned it on.

: 90% of the 5.1 DVDs don't have a problem with this, but the Rolling Stones Bridges to Babylon and The Truman Show do. Go figure.

I tried this fix and it works perfectly--thanks!
