Ken,

Are these silent areas between the logos and the movie start, if so that is normal because these are encoded as seperate segments on the disk and do have silence between them. If you are refering to actually inside the movie then you possibily have a problem with the decoder.

Don

: I play my 3 DTS disks, Dante's Peak, The Jackal and Dragon Heart with the new Yamaha S795 DVD player and noticed on all of them at 2 or 3 locations, a silence in sound for about quarter of a second. If I replay the disks, the silent occurs at the same place. Does anybody experienced the same thing with other DVD players. Is my Yamaha defective? or both the 3 disks? I'm sure it's not the pause for the layer change. Please help. Thanks.
