I doubt whether such a format will ever make significant inroads into the consumer market - so any material encoded in this way will also have to be backwardly compatible with the other common formats.

Also it is not clear to me whether this is a consumer format at all, as opposed to a theater format - although it was demo'ed at CES.

Frankly it think it would be a waste of money in 99.99% of consumer HT rooms.
