Tim,

: BTW, in the details by ISP address, why does it state who I'm a customer of? I don't see it on others posts.

It all depends on where you obtained your browser program from. Some ISPs, large companies and even computer manufacturers tinker with the browser identity files and/or customise the interface to match their corporate identity. You must be using a browser program supplied to you by SurfNet.

You can eliminate that field by simply changing to a generic version of Netscape or Internet Explorer (ie. downloaded it from either Microsoft, Netscape or better yet, your nearest TuCows affiliate). Your system ID will then simply indicate O/S and browser type.

Also, it may be worthwhile as you post a fair few messages using a valid E-mail address (as Nigel has stated, a free address from Hotmail or the like) as the Forum will then automatically notify you of replies. At the moment replies to your messages simply bounce back to me. Incidentally, I've been using smr@smr-forums.com since we moved to this server over 12 months ago and have not received a single piece of 'junk mail' to that address.

Stuart.
