Audio on the Panasonic A-120

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95):

Folks,
Has anyone noticed a "big" difference between audio from a DVD disc vs. TV or CD audio. My receiver seems to be comfortable to my ear @ -30dB for the tuner, the TV & the CD player but I have to raise it to -20dB for a DVD. It doesn't seem to matter if the format is 5.1 or 2 channel stereo. Did I hook something up incorrectly??????? Any ideas?????
