DSS Cards

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt):

Hope this is on the right forum. Correct me if I am in the wrong place. I was jogging through EBay today and happened upon an area where some people were advertising so called "Test" card for receiving DSS without paying for the service. I also went to a couple more sites where it appears that a war of sorts is being waged between DirectTV and video hackers of an entreprenurial bent. I had no idea about this stuff. Please enlighten me.
