DSS Cards

I am sure that your answer was factual and well-intentioned. I am sorry that I am so ignorant in these areas. It may be absolutely necessary for you to be so serious and pious in something like this. I am sorry if my reply came over as pious but I was taking the consumer's side on this issue. I have seen too many reports of consumers innocently parted from their money and s*ckered into buying illegal cable boxes then ending up on the wrong side of the law when they try to use them. I did not intend to suggest that you may be contemplating any such activity. :Maybe I read the wrong periodicals, but I was unaware of scope of the underground effort. There are people around who will try and crack any encryption scheme just for the hell of it and then sell their wares. Just do a quick search for "warez" sites on the internet where you can download "cracked" software and you'll see what I mean. It's a shame in a way that DIVX died a natural death before the hackers got to work on defeating that system's security - it would have really undermined the already shaky economic basis for their business model. So no holier-than-thou implication intended, apologies if that's the way it came across.
