Left-over DIVX players a deal or not?

Well, one person recently wrote that he got a "closeout" RCA DIVX at CC for $100. He sez it works great for him.

I, personally don't know too much about DIVX players, but I do know they're fully compatible with "standard" DVDs. Now that DIVX is history, and CC is LIQUIDATING their DIVX discs (last I saw they were 99 CENTS EACH! you could still "permanently activate" them, at least until Dec. 31?), you could conceivably "clean up" with a "liquidated" DIVX player and get a stack of DIVX platters "for a song". Best of all, you can still use REGULAR DVDs with it and not be "out anything".

With that typed, I'd demo BOTH PLAYERS and see which one "looks the best" to you. If you really "need" component outputs (S-Video is DYNAMITE!), look to a player that has them. Otherwise, I think the A120 might be the "best buy" here. :)

I hope others chime-in.... :)

Ken
