"Matrix" mastering problem?

Warner's position is that the disc is manufactured according to the DVD specs, but some players are having a problem with it. It appears that some players will need a firmware upgrade to be able to play this without a problem. I doubt whether they will recall/reissue the disc in these circumstances. Mind you they said that about Devil's Advocate, but there were other reasons why that was reissued...
