Wal-Mart and DIVX

I had heard that Wal-mart was being courted by the DIVX camp as a potential investor/distributor for their technology. Since i think that DVD is superior to DIVX in many ways, I wnet to their website and sent a message saying that I do not want them to sell DIVX merchandise. Here was their reply:
Thank you for your message. Wal-Mart Stores and SAM'S Clubs will carry the
products that our customers are asking for. At this time, our customers are asking for the DVD format. This commitment to DVD is evidenced by the excellent selection of DVD titles and hardware available at Wal-Mart stores, SAM'S Clubs and Wal-Mart Online. Currently, Wal-Mart has NO plans to support the DIVX format.
